After the deadline

I met my deadline yesterday so instead of cleaning my desk or my office or my house, I went on a reading jag… Okay, I did do a little bit of cleaning, just to make things sanitary. (The kitchen and bathroom in particular.) And I did run some errands. But mostly I read, pretty much nonstop. Partly because I was post-deadline but mostly because the novel was Lynn Austin’s Wonderland Creek. It is a delightful, tall tale sort of a story that I practically devoured in one sitting. The only thing that stopped me was when I read, twice, the same line, exactly, that I used in Courting Cate, which releases in the fall.
