I had a great writing-related weekend, starting Friday with the Lewis County Historical Museum‘s Evening with the Authors in Chehalis, Washington. I met lots of new-to-me authors and new readers and hung out with my author friend Julie Zander, who invited me to the event. And I was surprised by friends from the past (and the present and the future), Rich and Lisa. (I borrowed their daughter Joy’s name for a character in Beyond the Blue.) We had a great time catching up and talking about kids, books, churches, mutual friends, and life. Saturday morning I sold and signed books at Curves in Portland’s Hollywood District during a Holiday Sale. There was lots of great art to look at, cards and jewelry to buy, and great conversations...
