By the time I was halfway through Jasmine, I couldn’t put it down and did my usual binge to the end. April McGowan tackles tough topics in her debut novel–sexual abuse, homelessness, and going home again–with grace and truth. The page-turner is packed with believable characters, Oregon settings, and a realistic hope that sustains the story. I highly recommend Jasmine.
I met April several years ago at an Oregon Christian Writers’ conference and became a fan of her writing immediately. I’m celebrating, along with so many others, the publication of Jasmine. Way to go, April!
