Oregon Christian Writers’ Conference this week
Yesterday, I finished the galleys for Courting Cate. (Have I mentioned how excited I am about this novel!)
Today, I’m finishing up the handout and other details for the workshop I’m teaching at the Oregon Christian Writers’ Conference this week, held at Aldersgate. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones and the great teaching by an amazing ensemble of editors, agents, and professional writers.
Here’s an interview with me that ran a few weeks ago on the OCW website. In it I talk about how I came to write “romance.”

Thank you, Leslie, for meeting with me at the OCW conference on Tuesday. You’ve given me a lot to consider about how I’ll present my family research. Writing fiction based on all the research I’ve done makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi, Joanne,
It was wonderful to meet you and hear about your story! I hope to see you at OCW again soon–hopefully at the one-day conference in October. I’d love an update on the direction your story is taking.
Leslie
